The owners of A Tavola, the wood-fired pizza restaurants in Over-the-Rhine and Madeira, are opening a new concept. Their new place will also specialize in pizza, but with a different approach. Taglio, coming to Columbia Tusculum, will focus on delivering New York style pizza, along with beer and wine. They hope to open on Feb. 7.
A Tavola specializes in wood-fired, traditional Neapolitan pizzas. Taglio picks up the story of pizza in the New World, and will make traditional large New York style pizzas with a slightly thicker crust, baked in a gas-fired, brick-lined deck oven.
