Amalfi’s oldest cloister , that of the Capuchin monastery, has been restored and is now the site of an accommodation facility, theAnantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel. Located just a 10-minute walk from the center of Amalfi, the ancient, 13th-century building retains its distinctive historical features intact, including a striking Baroque church with a marble altar and majolica floor.
The building had already been recovered to allow the hotel to be established: the original façade has been preserved in its materials and colors, while the interiors, designed with natural materials such as woods, leathers, natural fibers and precious metals, are designed to reflect the distinctive luxury of the Anantara brand.
