It's official: the direct connection between Milan Malpensa and Miami, which has been awaited for years by travelers, frequent flyers and insiders, will be a reality starting March 29, 2026. Signing it is American Airlines, which with this new route strengthens its presence in Italy and consolidates Malpensa as a strategic hub for transatlantic air traffic.
The flight operated by Boeing 787-8 will take off daily from Milan at 2:05 p.m. and land in Miami at 6:40 p.m. local time, while the reverse leg will leave Miami at 8 p.m. with arrival in Malpensa at 11:30 a.m. the following day. It will be the only direct connection between the two cities, making American Airlines the only carrier to offer this non-stop route.
