Padua celebrates 500 years of history with the exposition Padova e le sue mura, or "Padua and Its Walls: 500 Years of History, 1513-2013".
It is thus that the city's protective fortifications are brought to cultural discourse's center, particularly in regards to the future of the city. The walls are no logner seen as a mere urban component, but rather as both identity and resource for Padua.
