Another brand new flight between US and Italy: Boston-Milan

May 26, 2025 792

Delta Air Lines’ new flight from Milan Malpensa to Boston Logan International Airport was inaugurated on Saturday, May 24. This new route adds to Delta’s existing services from Milan to New York/JFK and Atlanta, and will operate four times per week. The flight will also offer passengers the opportunity to continue their journey with convenient connections through Delta’s Boston hub.

“Delta will be the only airline to directly connect Italy’s fashion capital with Boston, one of our fastest-growing hubs and a key gateway to the U.S. East Coast. Delta has been connecting Milan to the U.S. since 1991, supporting tourism, business travel, and cultural exchange. We are thrilled to add this new route to our network, bringing to three the number of destinations we serve from Milan Malpensa,” said Matteo Curcio, Delta’s Senior Vice President for Europe.

During the Summer 2025 season, Milan Malpensa will offer direct flights to approximately 200 destinations, with long-haul capacity planned by carriers growing by more than 18%—the highest increase among major European airports.

Delta will operate the new Milan Malpensa–Boston flight using a next-generation Airbus A330-900neo aircraft with 281 seats, featuring Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin service classes.

During the peak summer months of 2025, Delta will operate up to 110 weekly flights between Italy and the United States. In addition to the routes from Milan to Boston, New York-JFK, and Atlanta, Delta’s full schedule will include nonstop service from Rome to New York-JFK, Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, and Minneapolis; from Venice to New York-JFK and Atlanta; from Naples to New York-JFK and Atlanta; and from Catania to New York-JFK.

In Summer 2025, the Delta flight from Milan Malpensa to Boston will be operated in partnership with European partner Air France-KLM.
