Held annually during the month of October in Naples, Italy, ArteCinema: International Festival of Films on Contemporary Art was first established in 1996. Filmmakers, artists, scholars, curators, and the general public assemble from all parts of the world for four days to view, converse, and debate the works.
This two-part program, organized in association with the National Gallery of Art, comprises two films from previous festivals—one on Italian artist Piero Manzoni, the other on American artist Louise Bourgeois. Filmmaker Andrea Bettinetti, director of Piero Manzoni, Artista, will discuss his film-making process with Margaret Parsons, Head of film programs at National Gallery of Art.
