The Italian Trade Commission was pleased to collaborate with the Mariani Family of Banfi Vintners to toast Italy, the Gilded Age and the Spirit of American Exceptionalism earlier this month at the Elms Mansion Venetian Ball in Newport County presenting a selection of extraordinary wines from Tuscany, Piedmont and the Veneto.
Banfi presented a fanciful flight of wines beginning with Veneto's acclaimed sparkling Maschio, Prosecco Brut DOC and rich supple white Garganega – Bianco Veronese IGT from producer Sartori Ferdi which welcomed guests and refreshed their palates as they mixed and mingled under the stars during the widely anticipated reception on the sprawling grounds of the Elms.
