Bari ranks at the top of the list of Italian cities with the best climate, followed by other cities in Southern Italy and coastal areas. Caserta, Terni, and Asti are at the bottom of the ranking. Il Sole 24 Ore has published the results of the "2025 Climate Index," the annual ranking of cities with the best climate. The survey examines climate data from the last decade (2014-2024), with the final score based on 15 climate parameters.
Bari (Puglia) takes first place, followed by three other cities from the Puglia region: Barletta Andria Trani. In fifth place is Pescara (Abruzzo). The South dominates the top 10, with cities like Enna (Sicily), Chieti (Abruzzo), and Catanzaro (Reggio Calabria). The top 10 also includes Livorno (Tuscany), Pesaro and Ancona (Marche), and the only city from Northern Italy: Trieste (Friuli Venezia Giulia).
