
Robert "Bob" and Constance "Connie" Carlo recently celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. Bob and Connie were married on October 21, 1945 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Paterson. They met as teenagers at an Italian Feast in Paterson and were engaged two years later before Bob enlisted in the army. They were married when Bob returned from military service. He is a U.S. Army Purple Heart Veteran of World War II.
After they were married, Bob worked for Witco Chemical and Connie dedicated herself to her family. They resided in Paterson for most of their married life until becoming Wayne residents in 1995. Their special day was celebrated at a family dinner with their daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews.
