Gio Bruno, co-owner of Bruno's Little Italy, has announced plans to open a delicatessen at 308 Main St. in downtown Little Rock next door to the restaurant. The lease was signed on Thursday with Dundee Holding Co. of Little Rock, Bruno said.
Central Construction Group of Little Rock is the contractor, and Greg Peckham of Odum Peckham Architecture Inc. is the architect. Bruno did not yet have a time frame for the deli's opening. Bruno said he was hoping to offer build-your-own sandwiches as well as meatball, Italian sausage, chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana and Italian roast beef sandwiches.
