Liguria, Puglia, Calabria, Campania – but also Marche, Tuscany, Sardinia, and Abruzzo. These are the regions with the highest number of Blue Flags in 2025, a quality certification that 246 Italian coastal municipalities and 84 tourist marinas can proudly claim this summer. In total, 487 beaches across the country have earned the label.
Thanks to excellent seawater quality (measured over the past four years), top-tier services, and a clear commitment to environmental sustainability, Italy has not only confirmed but surpassed its 2024 results by adding ten new locations. These numbers also reveal that approximately 11.5% of all Blue Flag beaches worldwide are in Italy.
