Mid-Beach will now have its fair share of Italian food with the opening of Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club, an Autograph Collection property. Chef-Partner Manuel Mattei will be in charge of all culinary affairs on the property, bringing old school family recipes to guests. The hotel will feature two dining concepts both inspired by Chef Mattei’s heritage and years working as a chef in coastal Italy.
Donna Mare will be an authentic Italian trattoria featuring traditional fare and seafood including Neapolitan pizzas from a wood-fire oven, homemade pastas, locally-caught grilled fish and grass-fed meats, all prepared in a modernly-designed open kitchen. The polished interior, designed by New York-based Bill Rooney Studio, focuses on the classic beauty of the hotel’s Art Deco architecture, with light woods with smoky blue accents, adding warmth and depth to the high ceilings and gray stone floors with seating for 150 guests and a full bar.
