
An Italian Defense delegation was in Washington DC for the Center of Excellence for Stability Police Units (CoESPU) semi-annual talks. Sponsored by the Department of State, the CoESPU in Vicenza (Italy) is a training center created in 2005.
It is built on the international expertise developed by the Italian Carabinieri. Since 2005, 10,000 police officers from 112 countries have trained there in order to be deployed within Peace Support Operations led by the United Nations and other international organizations.
