Carnevale Project by Pascal Gangi

For the Fisherman's Feast in the North End in 2016, the artistic group is currently working in bringing a little taste of the Carnevale tradition from Sciacca to the North End. The Carnevale in Sciacca calls for the parade of the float accompanied by its traditional music, Dance group and a Comedia dell' Arte group. Just like the actual tradition, the art group will build a float (image shown on right). The float represents a fisherman sitting on a boat in honor of the fisherman's feast. The float dimensions will be 4 feet in width, 12 feet in height and 8 feet in length.

Accompanying the float for the mini parade will be Beverly Richards Dance Center who will perform not only on the street but on stage. Also on stage, there will be a special Comedia dell' Arte performed by the Pazzi Lazzi Troupe. We hope to get many people involved especially the kids. We hope to pull together a great cultural and fun show and to make everyone enjoy this fantastic tradition. Below are a few photos of our past floats and events.
