Celebrating the Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ in Borough Park, Brooklyn

Saturday morning I joined my esteemed confratello Cav. Patrick O’Boyle of the Knights of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George at the Monastery of the Most Precious Blood in Borough Park, Brooklyn (5400 Fort Hamilton Parkway) for the Titular Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Sponsored by the New York Chapter of the Archconfraternity of Our Lady of Prompt Succor, Low Mass was sung by Celebrant and Homilist Fr. Stephen Saffron, Parochial Vicar at St. Anselm.

My first time visiting the Monastery, I was impressed with the church's architecture and solemn atmosphere. With the exception of the pulpit and some minor odds and ends, the church looks (at least to my untrained eye) like it hasn’t been touched since its dedication back in 1910. The rose window and murals spanning the nave are phenomenal.
