You know the name: Incorvaia. And you know that this name is synonymous with home-style, made-from-scratch, classic Italian-American cuisine. But do you know the new restaurant, Keith and Chris Incorvaia’s Bene Italiano, which opened in mid-June? “Two brothers, one vision” is the motto you’ll see as you walk in the door. And the two brothers in this instance are Keith and Chris Incorvaia, of course — sons of Inky’s Italian Foods co-founder John Incorvaia, Sr., and his wife, Rita.
But this is definitely a family affair, as multiple generations are on hand to welcome guests and make everyone feel right at home. Carrying on a Toledo taste tradition, the new spot offers familiar favorites, many of which come in under our $10 per item budget. We started with the luncheon serving of Eggplant Parmesan ($9.10), which was generous enough to be a meal for two. It came with a salad, a basket of bread, and a side serving of spaghetti.
