What about your cultural roots? Are you even curious? Paolo Ricci decided it was time to find out more about his father’s Italian heritage. Retired Auburn fireman Mike Vasco wanted to spend time with Italian Americans interested in cultural practices, which his own kids disengaged from at home.
Ricci and Vasco joined more than 100 other members and guests of Auburn’s Cultural Italian American Organization (CIAO) to celebrate St. Joseph on Sunday. The gentlemen wore suits and ties and the ladies featured a touch of red in their outfits in the Springside Inn’s banquet room.
