Ciao St. Louis contributors will begin submitting articles for print in the "Il Pensiero" (The Thought) published by, Cav. Antonio Lombardo. This is the only Italian- language newspaper published in Missouri and Southern Illinois — and one of very few in the U.S. — since 1967.

The Italian newspaper publisher prints 5,000 copies, with about half mailed to residences by subscription and the other half distributed in store stacks, primarily on "The Hill." His bi-monthly newspaper served as a mainstay in St. Louis's Italian-American community for more than 110 years. Published in Italian and English, Il Pensiero helped members of the Italian-American community maintain their strong Italian heritage throughout the region.
