Although there will be no Morris County Columbus Day Parade this year, the East Hanover Italian American Club will reinforce their commitment to promote Italian pride, heritage and culture by hosting a wreath-laying ceremony at the Townsquare Park on Ridgedale Ave at the Columbus Statue.
The event begins at 11 am on Sunday, October 10th. The guest speaker for the event will be Frank Lorenzo the vice president of the Italian American One Voice Coalition. That organization defends Italian American civil rights and leads the fight in communities that try to rewrite history by removing Columbus Day from their calendars and those communities that find it politically correct by removing Columbus statues.
Please join us, everyone is welcome to attend. After the ceremony, all those in attendance are invited to the East Hanover Fire Department for coffee and pastries.
Yes, there will be a parade next year!
