When I lived in New York City, I often would go to an Italian restaurant on the Upper East Side called Il Vagabondo, which served terrific red sauce food from the south of "The Boot" and was filled with lots of (mostly) guys speaking Italian.
It also featured an indoor bocce court. You could get a table that sat right on the edge of the court and watch men straight off the boat from Sicily rolling the balls, placing bets, talking smack and generally making the place feel as if it was designed by Don Corleone.
