Corona D'Italia Lodge No. 807 held its annual mother-daughter-scholarship dinner on May 3 at the Wolverine restaurant. Valerie Valentino, scholarship chairman, conducted the program. She recognized her committee, sentinel Lori DiFrischia and historian Mary Jane Folino, and thanked them for their work.
Valentino introduced Ian Patterson, a senior at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School, and called on his grandmother, Jackie Perno, secretary, to present him a $500 Corona Memorial scholarship. Valentino also introduced Timothy Houk, a senior at Lincoln High School, and called on his mother, member Lee Ann Houk, to present him with a $500 Corona Memorial scholarship.
