The busy operations at Cullen's American Grille and Whisky Bar just got busier. On Monday Cullen's opened its new casual Italian concept, Bravissimo! Italian Kitchen, adjacent to the fine dining restaurant at 11500 Space Center Blvd.
In the works since last year, Bravissimo! is a place for quick pizza, sandwiches, soups and salads, and pasta dishes that also are available for takeout. Cullen's executive chef David Coffman created the menu whose highlights include pizza from a wood-burning oven, and a signature nine-layer lasagna that weighs in at one pound of pasta, meat sauce, ricotta and five blended cheeses.
