A restaurant in Pelham Bay that has been a staple in the community for more than 40 years has reopened its doors. Villa Barone Trattoria closed in December for renovations but now they’re back open and ready for business. Their big addition is a brand-new brick oven where patrons can watch some of their food being cooked.
Owner Jimmy Bianchini says, "If you like the traditional classics from our menu, we still make those available, but we also added some new appetizers and entrees. We kind of revamped everything. We have something new but we still have the tradition that we've always had."
