Newark restaurant receives world honor
Soffritto Italian Grill near Newark, owned by Stefania and Giovanni Panza, was voted the most popular Italian restaurant in the world that bears the Ospitalità Italiana seal.
The seal, given out by the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce, recognizes Italian restaurants outside of Italy that adhere to authentic Italian cuisine and wine.
Other vote-getters in North America included La Ciccia in San Francisco and Zambri's of Victoria, British Columbia.
