Those “Eastportoricans” have it all going on. They’ve got their “breakaway republic,” their maritime heritage, their Oyster Boys, their sock burnings, their extreme sports of green beer races and mad .05K dashes across the bridge over Spa Creek (which they cheekily refer to as “The Gulf of Eastport”).
Must they also have the best pizza in town? A colleague thinks they do. It’s smack in the middle of the Eastport Shopping Center at Sammy’s Italian Pizza Kitchen, presided over by owner Sammy Awakian, who in 2012 put his name on what had been a Squisito’s partnership.
