Somewhere along the line, Thomas Lograsso was given the nickname “The Italian Stallion” by his teammates. Apart from being Italian, he doesn't really know why – unless Stallions can hit hard and run fast. Maybe the nickname checks out after all. On a team with county mainstays like Luke Bratten and Jhon Abreu, it's been Lograsso who has carried Wellington's offense this year.
The Wolverines’ surprise star wasn't always a powerhouse on the baseball diamond. But from the beginning of his junior year to the middle of his senior season, Lograsso went from solid to special. "Thomas is one of those guys that until this year, he's been a solid baseball player, but he really hasn't been the kind that could carry a baseball team," Wellington head coach Scott Riddle said.
