Don Bosco Community Center may return

An effort is underway to bring back a community center that served the Columbus Park neighborhood. The original Don Bosco building may soon serve nearby families again. The building had been a center where immigrants came to learn English as a second language.

A few years ago Don Bosco moved the program to a larger space because the building had become too small and needed repairs. Last year, the ESL program served more than 1,200 people. In the meantime the neighborhood evolved to become home to more young, millennial families.
