"A Bronx Tale" star Chazz Palminteri shares the tale behind a cocktail at his new restaurant in Midtown (890 Second Ave.): it's an ode to Frank Sinatra and his love of martinis. At Chazz Palminteri Ristorante Italiano, the Sicilian Martini — BiVi vodka, orange liquor, amaretto and a splash of orange juice — is a symbol of Palminteri's friendship with Ol' Blue Eyes.
Sinatra was a fan of "A Bronx Tale," the 1993 classic mob film in which Palminteri played the tough-as-nails gangster Sonny. "I was over Frank's house once for a barbecue," Palminteri tells the News, "and he takes the two olives on the toothpick and says, 'Chazz, do you want to share my olives?' I pull one of the olives off and he hugged me. I thought, 'What just happened?'"
