
"I cut his hair when he was a baby," Eddie gestured toward Florham Park Mayor Mark Taylor, who was getting a trim in one of the three swivel chairs in the sports memorabilia-filled barber shop. A thick Italian accent saturated Eddie's speech, despite the past 61 years he had lived in the United States.
"I've been with the same clientele 60 years," he continued in his rhythmic tone, newspaper in hand. "I got a guy last night over here. I've been doing [his family's hair] four generations." He explained that the man's wife was expecting a baby boy who would represent the first of the fifth generation to have his hair cut by Eddie.
