The Embassy of Italy in the United States and the Consulate General in Philadelphia signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Education (DoE) of Maryland. The new Memorandum replaces the previous one of 2015, updating and integrating it, to further improve the program of Italian language and culture in the State.
The main objective of the Memorandum is improving the quality and fostering the teaching of the Italian language and culture in Maryland’s school system through the involvement of the “Enti Gestori” in Washington and Philadelphia. The “Enti Gestori” benefit from contributions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of International Cooperation aimed at strengthening Italian courses in local schools.
