Fondazione Mont'e Prama and the Metropolitan Museum of New York have signed an agreement for an exhibition on the ancient history of Sardinia, which will open in May 2023 and remain open until November of the same year.

Mont'e Prama director Nadia Canu, who curated the exhibition's scientific project, together with Sean Hemingway, curator of the Greek and Roman sections, has already started the procedures for the Ministry of Culture to give the green light for the loan of "Manneddu," one of the Giants that have already been handed over for use by the Foundation.

The exhibition is made possible by the "Great Mont'e Prama Project" program, funded by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, fostered by the action of the Observatory of the Italian Academy, at Columbia University, directed by Professor Barbara Faedda, and will be facilitated by partnerships with Acrisure, DoubleS and Dinamo Sassari.

The Stone Giant will be displayed at the entrance to the ᴍᴇᴛ Greek-Roman classical area: a section that can count on three million visitors a year.

In conjunction with the exhibition, Fondazione Mont'e Prama, Regional Planning Center and private partners will organize a "call to action" to promote the tourist presence in Sinis and the whole of Sardinia.

Let me say that today is a historic day for Cabras, for Sinis and for our Sardinia Island.
