Childrenshare is a cultural initiative dedicated to children and designed by Expo Milano 2015 in collaboration with Fondazione MUBA Museo dei Bambini Milano: six months of recreational and educational activities that will take place at the Rotonda di via Besana, in the city centre, a special space ready to welcome all the children of the world!

The projects were carefully shortlisted among the many that were submitted thanks to an international call for ideas launched in November 2014: institutions and cultural associations, training centres, artists and professionals of different fields participated in the call with a wide variety of high quality proposals.

The scheduled activities are varied and have a child-friendly approach to the themes of the World Expo: workshops, performance, game- exhibitions, exhibits and installations speaking the language of children and entertaining them with games related to sociability and ingredients from the tables of the world, biodiversity, the colours of food, the food waste from the whole supply chain, the sensation of hunger, renewable energies and many more interesting and engaging topics.

All the activities' materials will be provided in Italian and in English and the educators will speak both languages. We are waiting for you!

"Expo Milano 2015 constitutes a great educational opportunity. Because it is a unique context and a common effort of so many people who come together around such an important theme. It is an opportunity you cannot miss to increase children's awareness and make them feel part of and directly involved in the choices of sustainability that concern us all. This is the meaning of the work that Expo 2015 is proposing to involve the new generations on the key issues of nutrition and the planet's sustainability. The Childrenshare project – children share! – was created thanks to a proposal by the MUBA Foundation as a project aiming to include the world of children. Its purpose is therefore to welcome children in the Expo 2015 universe and increase their awareness about the issue of nutrition in a spirit of call for action that connotes many of the initia- tives activated by Expo 2015.

Childrenshare has made it possible to combine the many initiatives that in various places, in Italy and abroad, are speaking to children about the themes of Expo 2015: an extremely important resource, the true inheritance of an international event of this scope. It is also and above all to collect these contributions that this project was born. MUBA, the Museo dei Bambini di Milano, offers recreational activities, games and educational programs for children, families and schools. It is a lively and active cultural centre in the heart of the city, a unique and magical place, built in a historical monument dating back to 1700.

During Expo 2015, MUBA opens to the public with a rich and varied calendar of selected proposals, designed by national and international professionals who work on non-formal education subjects. The Childrenshare project al- lows all children to play with the themes of the Universal Exhibition, creating a bridge between the city of Milan and the world. All the activities take place at MUBA, via Enrico Besana 12 in Milan. The planned activities are dedicated in particular to children aged between 5 and 12 years old: in the description of every project, you will find a spe- cific age of reference according to the contents and to the game modes. Visits are organised in entry rounds of about 90 minutes each and for a limited number of participants.
