A project organized by Fondazione Cinema per Roma and Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, the Short Food Movie - Feed your Mind, Film your Planet initiative invites people from all over the world to interpret the Expo themes of nutrition and sustainability by creating a short video, of between 30 seconds and one minute in length.
The videos may be produced with professional or non-professional equipment, and are to be uploaded onto a specially-designed online platform. During the Expo, a selection of the videos submitted will be projected onto the video wall within Pavilion Zero, a project curated by Davide Rampello.
From THE WEB to THE WALL
During Expo Milano 2015 (from May 1st to October 31st, 2015), the online platform will come alive thanks to the WALL, curated by Davide Rampello, a great installation designed for the Pavilion Zero of the event. The WALL– the biggest ever built – will tell the Art of hunting, fishing, raising and cultivating. Your video will also be part of the WALL. Find out how by clicking on Take Part.
For a better presentation this crowd-sourced work of art, please do consider that, at the entrance pavilion of Expo 2015, the videos used in the installation will be without sound.
Short Food Movie can be considered a real-life, democratic permanent platform, a viral and global work of art, created from hundreds of thousands of images, and many languages, and cultures. Videos can be opened in any order, allowing viewers to develop their own narrative. In a word, Short Food Movie is an artistic installation that brings Expo Milano 2015's themes to life by the agency of people telling their own stories.

A TASTE OF YOUR CREATIVITY
Short Food Movie - Feed your Mind, Film your Planet is the initiative produced by Fondazione Cinema per Roma and Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia within the framework of EXPO Milan 2015 dedicated to the theme "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life".
Within this extraordinary event, Short Food Movie – Feed your Mind, Film your Planet represents a Global Open-Call for the production of thousands of videos inspired by the theme of nutrition and its related topics: the importance of a healthy diet, the role of the territory, the social necessity of a worldwide availability of healthy products and the creation of a sustainable and fair development.
Upload your video by March 2015
2. Take part. Upload your video (between 30 - 60 seconds long) on this portal: it will be part of the video installation at the entrance pavilion of EXPO Milan 2015!
The videos, coming from all over the planet, lasting between 30 seconds and 60 seconds, produced with any professional or non-professional equipment (smartphones, tablets, photocameras, videocameras...), will explore the relationship between food and life from any perspective and with any format and genre (documentary, narrative, video art...) and can be uploaded to the platform by march 2015. The videos can be produced by minors (rules and regulations), but must be submitted by users aged 18 or above.
For a better presentation of this crowd-sourced work of art, we recommend you to consider that at the entrance pavilion of Expo 2015 the videos used in the installation will be silenced. For more details, and before filling the entry form, please carefully read the rules and regulations.
Eligible videos shall not: contain pornographic material and/or any material that infringes human and animal rights; infringe any rights of third parties, either copyright and/or financial exploitation rights; contain any trademarks and/or logos of any kind whatsoever.
Users shall submit the original, signed document at any time
3. Win. By March 10th, 2015, the jury of Short Food Movie will choose 3 winners from the 15 most voted videos. The prize is a trip to Milan to visit EXPO!
