The project for the future of Expo Milano 2015 is taking shape, starting from the public funds to be made available: €150 million every year for 10 years. The announcement came from Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, who was in Milan to open the second phase of Expo and discuss the future of the site of the Universal exhibition which, by the end of June 2016, will no longer host pavilions and clusters.
The 1 million square-meter area will host the project "Italia 2040": a technology park dedicated to the research of the most advanced technologies in the fields of health, nutrition and sustainability. The goal is ambitious, as it takes as an example similar initiatives in the world (the Silicon Valley in the United States, the examples of Boston and Berlin) with the added value of a cross-disciplinary approach.
