A new storefront specializing in frozen treats is on its way to Howell, just in time for summer. Located at 4502 Route 9 South in the Friendship Plaza next to Staples, a new Rita's storefront is expected to open later this year. It will occupy the former Sun National Bank.

Rita's is a Pennsylvania-based frozen ice chain that has been serving Italian ices, gelati and frozen custards to families since 1984. It currently touts over two dozen locations in New Jersey, including sites in Brick, Eatontown, Union Beach, Lakewood and Toms River.
