People looking to get the flavor of Italian cities such as Palermo, Rome and Venice do not have to travel far, as Festa Italiana in Schererville offers exactly that. After canceling the 2020 festival due to concerns regarding coronavirus, Villa Cesare Events & Banquets presents the free annual event July 30-Aug 1 outdoors.
“Our volunteers are excited to be back,” said Jon Biancardi, chairman of Festa Italiana, which he launched in 2017. “Everyone’s excited to be out and go to our live events.” Food, fun and family are the focus of Festa Italiana. “Everyone loves Italian food. There’s a wide variety of Italian food and some different things you might not know about,” said Biancardi of Schererville.
