Figone's of California Olive Oil is expanding its current operation to include a new retail store in Petaluma. Opening Saturday, June 14th at 10:00 a.m., the new location can be found at 1370 Industrial Avenue, just one block off the 101 freeway, and offers tasting opportunities, as well as enrollment in Figone's local olive oil club, which allows members to "fill up" their olive oil bottles once a month.
The Figone Olive Oil company's history goes back over a century. In 1907, owner Frank Figone's great-grandfather Egildo purchased 65 acres in the San Joaquin Valley and began farming asparagus. He planted an olive sapling and began curing the fruit from the tree every year for his family.
