Filmmaker Fred Kuwornu to Present Documentaries

Fred Kuwornu, an Italian filmmaker, producer and social advocate, will present and discuss three of his documentary films as part of his #Diversity-in-Media-Matters tour. The film schedule is as follows:

Monday, Oct. 17, 18 lus Soli, an examination of the injustice faced by 18 girls and boys born to parents in Italy from Africa, Asia and South America

Tuesday, Oct. 18, Blaxploitalian: 100 Years of Blackness in the Italian Cinema, looks at the role people of African descent have played and their representation in the Italian film industry
Wednesday, Oct. 19, Inside Buffalo: provides a historic account of the 92nd Infantry Division, an African American segregated combat unit that fought in World War II.


All screenings will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Kennedy Auditorium, Taylor Science Center, and will be followed by a Q&A session. All are free and open to the public.
