Flora shares her family history and how you can do the same

During this holiday season, why not take some time to document your family history? It's something I did with my own parents and I'm glad I did. I will cherish it forever and I can pass it on to my son and he can share it with his children someday. My parents are Italian immigrants and they both had remarkable stories to tell. In November 2010, I grabbed a video camera and I interviewed my parents.

My father, Abramo-Abraham Posteraro, came to America May 22, 1947. He was 18 and had $5 in his pocket. He left Italy and came to America to join his father who he had never met. As my dad stepped off the train in Pittsburgh, he was approached by a stranger.
