Let's face it. Now that the Thanksgiving leftovers have been picked over and Black Friday has elbowed its way in and out of our bank accounts, the Christmas season is officially upon us, blasting through the front door like a Buffalo blizzard. And we all know who else comes knocking at this jolly time of year: family.

These dual themes of the holidays and family drive the action of the Granite Theatre's recent production, "Over the River and Through the Woods," by Italian-American playwright and New Jersey native Joe DiPietro.
