From the small streets of Trastevere to the immense avenues of New York, Federico Guarascio, 34, left Rome in 2016 to follow his dream of becoming a film producer. At first, he thought he would return to Italy after a month, instead he chose to make the United States his new home. Here, he is making his way in the world of cinema.
He recently produced the documentary film “The Fourth Kingdom”–which won first prize at the Brooklyn Film Festival-a bold work set in a collection center where plastic jars and bottles are exchanged for cash. A practice that is becoming increasingly popular in New York.
