Maneskin has been nominated in the Best New Artist category at the Grammy Awards 2023, which will take place at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles, US, on February 5, 2023.

The Roman band, immediately after learning the news of the Grammys nomination, commented, "We cannot believe our eyes and ears, but we have just been nominated as Best New Artist at the Grammy's! We really couldn't be more grateful and excited. Thank you to the Academy and all of you who have always supported us with love."

Over the past year, Maneskin have graced the stages of the world's most celebrated festivals, especially those in the United States. Just think of the very warm audience reception that overwhelmed the band at the Coachella Festival, while also being welcomed with open arms by America's most-watched major TV shows, including the Jimmy Fallon Show, the Ellen DeGeneres show, Saturday Night Live and the talent show The Voice USA. Not to mention that Damiano, Victoria, Ethan, and Thomas, in November 2021, opened the Rolling Stones concert in Los Angeles and a collaboration with U.S. rock legend Iggy Pop, with whom they performed a cover of their I wanna be your slave. As early as the end of last year, the Los Angeles Times called the group "America's favorite rock band."

Maneskin will not be the only representatives of Italy, however. That's right, because among the nominees to win the golden gramophone statuette there will also be U.S. composer and director with Italian citizenship Michael Giacchino, former composer of soundtracks for several Pixar films and for J.J.Abrams' series (Lost, Alias, Fringe), who was nominated in the Best Score category for the film The Batman directed by director Matt Reeves.
