Some of Mercer County's most prominent Italian-Americans celebrated their lineage Monday afternoon as Hamilton Township hosted its annual Italian Flag-Raising Ceremony in recognition of National Italian-American Heritage Month.

Mercer County Acting Prosecutor Angelo Onofri and Eugene Forconi, proprietor of Hamilton-based Forconi Foods, were both commended at the hour-long event as 2016 Columbus Day Gala honorees.
