One of the biggest mysteries in Marion has finally been solved: When would Amato's Woodfired Pizza finally open its doors in downtown Marion? After four years of planning, preparation and setbacks, the Delaware-based pizza favorite boasting authentic Italian woodfired pizzas and a "neighborhood feel" opened its doors to its newest Marion location March 11.
With a warm welcome in-person and excited comments posted on the company's new Facebook page for the location, the Marion community seems ready to embrace the Delaware-based pizza joint. Located at 143 W. Center Street, the restaurant showcases exposed brick walls, a partnership with Columbus-based North High Brewing and an attentive staff, checking up with tables to ask, "everything delicious?"
