
It started out as a self-funded venture founded by Ermanno Daelli (more commonly referred to as Ermanno Scervino) and business partner Toni Scervino, in the year 2000. It has grown into a Milan fashion week mainstay with revenues of €100 million over the year 2015, employing a group of 300 individuals. Last year, Florence-based brand Ermanno Scervino made its US flagship debut in Miami.
More recently, the company was chosen as the official luxury partner of Italy's national soccer team, meaning it will design the soccer squad's uniforms for the 2016 European championship in France, and subsequently the 2018 World championship in Russia. I travelled down to Florence to meet with the brand's founders, and learned more about their attitude towards selling the company to a conglomerate, bringing fashion to the world of sports, and the process of developing their first perfume.
