Italian in Connecticut week continues in Middletown today. It's our way of paying tribute to one of the most influential ethnic groups in Connecticut.

The First and Last Tavern is just one of many businesses owned by Italian Americans along Main Street in Middletown. But there was a time when they could only be on one side of the street. Still, that didn't keep Italians from flourishing here, and making some beautiful music. The music, the language, that's the sound of home for many in Middletown.
