Thursday 7 February 2019, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Italian Cultural Center in Minneapolis, 528 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55403. Register Here. Member: FREE. Non member: $10.00. If you own or inherited Italian assets (such as bank accounts, investment accounts, paintings, real estate and other non-business assets), you should be aware of various U.S. tax reporting requirements that may apply to your situation. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the imposition of draconian noncompliance penalties by the IRS.
Join us on Thursday, February 7th, 6:30 - 8:30 PM for a unique opportunity to learn about these U.S. tax requirements directly from an experienced international tax attorney. While the focus of the presentation will be on tax requirements related to a foreign inheritance, it will also specifically address U.S. tax reporting obligations concerning ownership of real estate in Italy (including ownership of a second home and co-ownership of properties with Italian family members).
The presentation is intended to be a broad introduction of this topic for non-lawyers. At the end of the presentation, the speaker will conduct a short Q&A session.
The speaker, Eugene Sherayzen, Esq., is the founder and owner of Sherayzen Law Office, Ltd. - an international tax law firm that specializes in U.S. tax compliance for U.S. and foreign persons as well as offshore voluntary disclosures.
