
The Rhode Island Italian-American Hall of Fame’s “Greatest Salute to America’s Bravest” induction event will occur Sunday, Nov. 19, at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium, One Avenue of the Arts, Providence, at 1 p.m. This is the group’s 30th anniversary event honoring eight local military veterans, former Secretary of Defense and CIA Director Leon Panetta and the presentation of various distinguished service awards and student scholarships.
Veteran inductees include: Nick Manzo (Navy, Pacific, World War II); Gloria Vignone (Army, Iraq); Tom Breggia (Marines, Pacific, World War II); James D’Agostino (Air Force, Vietnam); Bob Capone (Army, Vietnam); Anthony DeQuattro (Marines, Vietnam); Frank J. Williams (Army, Vietnam); and Albert Golato (Army, Korea). Channel 10 news personalities Alison Bologna and Gene Valicenti will host the event.
