Italian-American parade rolls Saturday

With St. Patrick's parades and their tossed cabbages in the recent past, we look forward to fava beans and kisses during the 46th annual Italian-American St. Joseph's Day Parade starting at 6 p.m. Saturday at Canal and Chartres streets, then heading into the French Quarter.

The queen is Kaylie Badalamenti Cotoire Hyde. Grand marshal is Joseph Siravo; parade marshals are Lena Prima, John Ferrucci and Micahael Badalucco. The parade includes floats, bands, maids and lots of marchers in tuxedoes.
