Everyone loves the winning combination of croissant and cappuccino. More fluffy and doughey or flaky and buttery, croissants are the favorite of many Italians for the first meal of the day, accompanied by a good espresso, tea, cappuccino or other breakfast beverages.
Italians also love to dunk cookies, open-face tarts, donuts and plumcakes: perfect desserts for breakfast that are common to all regions. Some territories, however, retain peculiar and ancient traditions, ideal for an alternative to the classic croissant filled with pastry cream.
